With our new name and our new site, VZW ‘t Keerhof is shedding its old skin, and beginning a second life with renewed energy.

What’s New?

  • In addition to our range of care programmes with animals and our training programme at VSPW/Balans, soon we will also be offering an international training programme in which course participants/institutions can set up their own “Patrasche” in their own countries, tailored to their own target group, culture and animals. Our foreign Patrasches will receive a quality label that can be reviewed and extended yearly. Follow our news items to learn the latest about this.
  • Our operations at Sint Maria Oudenhove will continue in their present form, but will no longer be called “de gebeten hond” but “Patrasche Foundation”.
  • Thus, in the end, our baby has also received a new name. We opted for the name based on the movie ‘Patrasche Dog of Flanders’, which can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ9WiE08tnI. The story of Patrasche is one about the timeless and healing bond that exists between people and animals.
